The silvery moonlight swept across the trees. Her body was still as her face was battered by the rain. She looked up to see the storm clouds growing and changing before her eyes.
The sky is so dark Haru. Its tears fall down upon us. The sky, it is full of sorrow. She said to the small eagle that was perched on her shoulder.
She looked down and kicked at the wet dirt beneath her. Once in a while she would say some childish thing to the only creature she could trust, Haru. They had been together through thick and thin.
Her silver hair was draped across her bony shoulders. Old bloodstains covered the back of her cloak. Her old blood stains. Gleaming eyes looked hungrily at her from the edges of the forest. The wolves were waiting for her to drop dead so they could go in for the kill. She watched each one blink and disappear then reappear somewhere else. She laughed softly to herself. The creatures would have no luck here.
She started to hum something that turned into a song. [glow=green,2,300]The rain will fall As the days grow long By night we hear them call Away into the shadow cradle Go all great and small
Seven times I've watched them crawl And try to stand again Dreaming of the mountains tall But away in the sullen shadows Go all great and small[/glow] Her voice was pure and heartbreaking.

Why bother searching, if you don't know what you're searching for?

The rain pelted Rena's face, waking her up from her deep sleep. She yawned and stretched. For a moment, she didn't remember where she was, until she fell and hit the ground.
OOMF! OW! Muzu....you were supposed to remind me that I was sleeping in a tree!" Rena looked up at the tree she had just fallen out of and saw the beady black eyes of her companion, Muzu, her ferret. She climbed back up to grab him, and brought him down the tree with her, setting him on her shoulder where he stayed.
Rena whiped off most of the dirt that had accumulated on her clothes, though the rain had washed most of it off, either that or turned it into mud. Rena let out a sigh and picked up her soaking belongings. 'Great....just my luck...' I'm sure you were wondering why she was sleeping in the tree though. She had travelled for several days without sleep, and decided she needed to get some shut eye. Of course, she wasn't a big fan of wolves, so sleeping on the ground wasn't a great idea, which is why she woke up falling out of a tree basically.
Rena picked up a thin, leather sheath which contained her katana, her choice of weapon. She really liked syths, but the Katana was a family thing, and syths tended to cost a bit. She didn't have much money, and no family to go back to. They had basically disowned her, though her relationship with her parents were good at one point.
Rena looked up at the sky, the rain pouring over her face, her brown hair sticking to her face. There were a few blue strands here and there, which was very unusual. That was her natural hair color. She was born that way. She couldn't help it. Her blue optics looked away from the sky as she heard a voice near by. Muzu's head turned in the same direction.
"Um...hello." She said to a woman with silver hair. Might as well be first to speak. 'Hope she didn't see me fall out of the tree.'

Blood trickled down her cloak. A pool of red liquid formed underneath her boots. The wolves inched closer. The little eagel, Haru, extended his wings and gave loud calls. For such a small creature he sure had strong vocal chords.
He sounded like one of his cousins, the great eagels. She heard that these creatures couldn't be tamed but they could form a strong relationship with another creature and were able to be called out for fighting but never would they let someone fly with them.
She looked over her shoulder to see a girl staring at her. Her eyes were in the shadows hiding any expression. the rain pounded on her fragil face. She put her right hand on her left shoulder where the scar began. The light blue crystal looked like water was actually moveing inside it. It glowed with a faint light.
OOC: not that long of a post on my part. Well at least it's not that long comparing to the other posts on this site.
